Robert Lee “Caveman” Rivera, 52, lost his battle with cancer Jan. 11, 2017, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Sat. Jan. 14, 2017 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Father Benjie officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5-6:30 Friday Jan. 13, 2017 with a rosary to follow.
Robert was born Nov. 24, 1964 to Raymond and Audelia Rivera in Hamilton, Texas. He worked at Accucast for the last six years. He loved to play pool and enjoying time with family and friends. Robert was loved by all who came into contact with him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dore Pete “D.P.” Rivera.
Robert is survived by his two sisters, Sally Deleon and Olga Jean Flores; two brothers, Raymond Rivera Jr. and Johnny Rivera, 18 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and nephews, 1 great-great niece, and 1 great-great nephew.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Rivera, Raymond Rivera III, Ray Rivera, Joseph Casas, Adam Marquez, and Austin Cervantez.
The family would like to thank Scott and White Hospice, Mr. Kirit Daftary, all the employees at Accucast, and a very special friend, Loshandra Marshal. A special thanks to his sister, Olga Jean Flores, for taking special care of Robert in his last months.
