Robert Nussman

Robert Eugene “Bobby” Nussman, 84, of Robinson, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12 surround by his loving family at home. Funeral services will be at 10am, Monday Nov. 16 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. with Rev. Scott Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7pm on Sunday, Nov. 15 at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on June 7, 1931 to Charlie and Julia Kettler Nussman on the family farm in Robinson. He attended Robinson schools and graduated from Waco Technical High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954. He then attended the National School of Business. In 1956, he went to work for General Tire and Rubber Company. Bobby worked there for 30 years before retiring in 1986. He met his future wife, Loretta Inman, on a blind date and they married in 1958. Of this union a son, Kelvin was born and a daughter, Karol.
In earlier years Bobby farmed and raised Longhorn cattle. He enjoyed doing genealogy research. Bobby was an active member of St. John U.C.C. in Robinson and served on several cemetery boards.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Julia Nussman; brother, Charles Ray Nussman; and brother-in-law, Raymond May.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife Loretta; son Kelvin Nussman; daughter, Karol Nussman Smith; grandsons, Scotty Smith and fiancée Hilary Trest, Brendon Smith and wife Seda; son-in-law Derek Smith; sister, Helen Nussman May; sister-in-law, Alice Nussman; and several nieces and nephews.
