Robert Masters

Robert L. Masters Sr., also known as Bob, passed away surrounded by his family, Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Visitation will be held, Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. Graveside will be Monday, May 1, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
Bob was born in Groveton, Texas to Lester and Lora Masters, June 29, 1929. He moved with his family to Waco, Texas and attended school at South Junior. Bob served in the Marine Corp. and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Anne Swindell Masters on June 26, 1948. They were blessed with 6-children. He worked for the Highway Department, which he retired from in 1987. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, going to CB breaks, working outside around his yard (which he did until his passing), and most of all, spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his daughters; Harriett and husband, Vince Rostockyj, Nancy and husband, Ralph Young, Lora and husband, Paul Brown, Susan and husband, Don Hignite. His daughter in law, Denise Masters. His grandchildren; Rhonda Rostockyj, Kevin and wife, Jennifer Corcoran, Jamie and husband, Justin Simpson, Raven Young, Ashley and husband, Michael Anderson, Amber and husband, Daniel Cockrell, Nick and wife, Nikki Ward, Josh Phillips, and Michael Ward. His great-grandchildren; Karinda Corcoran, Tyler Corcoran, Chase Corcoran, Logan Simpson, Ben Simpson, Julietta Ward, Mason Anderson, Riley Anderson, Andrew Sanchez, Matt Powers, Maddie Powers, Kylee Cockrell, and Kaydance Cockrell.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Masters, son, Robert “Rob” Masters Jr., son, Billy Harold, grandson-in-law, Joe Sullins, and his parents.
