Robert was born September 3, 1927 to Charlie and Hulda Luedke and was raised in Riesel in the family of Walter "Dutch", Emma, and Dan Luedke. His teenage years were spent in Speegelville, where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Viola. He settled in Robinson, Texas, and raised his sons Allen and Mark. Later in life, he studied Bible principles and lovingly shared them with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hulda, aunt and uncle, "Dutch" and Emma, and sister, Edna Baade.
He is survived by his wife, Viola, sons Allen and Mark, grandchildren Matthew and his wife Lauren, and Morgan, cousin Dan Luedke, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and his spiritual family.
This world lost a true gentlemen this week; a good husband, a loving father, a proud grandpa and faithful friend. He was the epitome of a quiet and mild spirit, having kindness at the ready. His absence leaves us with heavy hearts and fond memories, but to have known him leaves us better people.
