Robert Hollingsworth

Robert S. Hollingsworth, age 90, of McGregor passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday November 3, 2023 at Trinity Fellowship of Central Texas, 388 Cotton Belt Pkwy, McGregor with Pastor Roger West officiating.

Robert was born January 23, 1933 to Roy L. and Winnie (Roe) Hollingsworth in Nolanville, Texas. Being a very talented guitarist, he loved the Lord and making music with his wife and many friends. When he was a Senior at Pearl High School, he was offered a job by Hank Thompson playing music, but declined it as he wanted to graduate. Being the original entrepreneur behind Lake Air Pools and Lake Air Pool Supply (for which two very old newspaper clippings were recently discovered), Bob led a very busy, interesting life. But most of all, he loved and praised the Lord whenever he had the opportunity.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and middle son, Ross Alan Hollingsworth.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Hollingsworth of McGregor; two sons, Rex and wife Donna Hollingsworth and Ronn Hollingsworth all of Robinson; six grandchildren, Rex Hollingsworth Jr. and wife Nina, Alicia Smith and husband Patrick, Raven, Coby, and Chad Hollingsworth, and Desiree Zufall; three great-grandchildren; Rain Smith, Jaylah and Jaydah Hollingsworth; along with three step-children, Paul D. French, Codie Jones and husband Terry and Tambre French.
