Robert French

Robert E. French, 89, of Robinson, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Waco. Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Monday, Jan 18 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 Sunday, Jan 17 at the funeral home.
Robert E. French was born on November 12, 1926 to William Jackson and Annie Lee French in Wood County. He married Freddie Gardner on December 22, 1951 in Centerville. They celebrated 61 years of marriage prior to her passing. Robert was a long time member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and an avid Ham Radio operator. He served his country in the Army Air Force. Robert was a Master Mason and Shriner. He retired from TXU after 37 years of service.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie; wife, Freddie; daughter, Jeanne Loraine Baker; one brother; and four sisters.
Survivors include his children, Robert Larry French and wife, Susan, Nancy Moeller and husband, David; grandchildren, Robert Baker, Benjamin “B.J.” Baker, Kellie Baker, Jason French, Jonathan French, Angie Hendricks, Katie Wilde; and ten great-grandchildren.
