Rita Galvan

Rita Galvan, 72, of Abbott, passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, Sunday, September 24, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Thursday, Sept. 28 ,at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2621 Bagby Ave, Waco, with Father Benjie as celebrant. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Wed., Sept 27, with a rosary to take place at 7pm.
Rita was born May 23, 1945 in Lorena, Tx, to Jose and Andrea Trevino. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many hearts and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Andrea Trevino; sisters, Petra Perez and Paula Galvan; brother, Henry Trevino; and great grandchild, Lilianna Gonzales.
Rita is survived by her husband, Pete Galvan Sr; children, Pete Galvan Jr. and wife Maria, Angela McLaughlin and husband Mac, Philip Galvan and wife Janette, and Andrew Galvan; brothers, Elojio Trevino and wife Rosie, Estevan Trevino and wife Alma, Jose Trevino and wife Martha, Johnny Trevino and wife Maria; sister, Frances Valdez; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pete Galvan III, Albert Ybarra Jr., Roman Galvan, Billy Henderson, Dustin Elliott, Angelo Guerrero, Noe Flores, Zachary Hill, and Dakoda Cogburn.
