Rienhard Schroeder

Rienhard was called to glory on the 9th day of June, 2016. Services will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Waco, Texas on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10am with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 4-6pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. Waco, TX 76706.
Rienhard was born July 31, 1926 to Charles and Hulda (Drews) Schroeder in Otto, Texas. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel, Texas on August 22, 1926. He was confirmed in God’s grace and in his faith in Christ on April 6, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Riesel, Texas.
He attended St. Paul school at Otto, Texas. He also graduated from McLennan Community College and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. On August 3, 1946, Rienhard married Evelyn Annie Horak at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waco, Texas. Their union was blessed with daughter, Cynthia and son, Rodney. They lived in the Waco area their entire married life.
Rienhard worked at A&M College, WM. Cameron & Co. in Waco and in the air conditioning business. He also operated a café and bar in Waco. In later years, he assisted his wife with her bookkeeping service. He loved to fish, hunt and play dominos, as well as being with family.
Rienhard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ella Schroeder and Stella Davis; and brothers, Theodore, Benhard, Julius, and Nelson Schroeder.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years; daughter, Cynthia Rose and husband Joe of Marble Falls, Texas; son, Rodney Schroeder and wife, Roberta of Tyler, Texas; granddaughters, Kathy Rose of Marble Falls, Texas and Aubrey Tolentino and husband Cristian of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, David Rose of Kingsland, Texas and Aaron Schroeder of Seattle, Washington; great-grandson Sean Ferrell of Marble Falls; great-granddaughter, Addie Jayne of Horseshoe Bay along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.
