Richard Garcia

Richard Garcia, 65, of Lorena, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. Services will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home located at 3124 Robinson Drive Waco, Texas 76706, 10:00 am on Monday, July 7, 2014, with Steve John Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will be receiving visitors Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, a Rosary will be recited from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Richard was born April 15, 1949 in Waco, Texas, to Paul Garcia and Sarah Gayton Garcia. Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a lover of animals.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Garcia; mother , Sarah ; a son, Manuel Garcia; sister, Rebecca Seniceros; and brothers, Paul Jr., Phillip, and Tony Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 47 yrs, Mary Garcia; children, Dora Garcia, Steve Garcia and wife Sylvia, Richard Garcia Jr. and wife Susie, Martin Garcia and girlfriend Amy Cantu, and Michael Garcia; sisters, Lydia Cadena, Margarita Gonzales, Mary Resendez, Delores Kimbro, and Sylvia Montemayor; brothers, Sam Garcia and Roy Garcia; 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Steve John Garcia, Phillip John Garcia, Brooke Heilman, R.J. Garcia, Jacob Garcia, and Dora Garcia.
