Rex LaRotonda, 49, passed away at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Sunday, June 1, 2014. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
The family will have a out of town memorial service, 11 AM, Saturday, June 28, 2014, at New Hope Christian Church, 2550 Courthouse Road, Guyton, Georgia.
Rex was born, October 29, 1964, in Fort Wayne Indiana, to James and Linda (Armstrong) LaRotonda. He was a devout Christian man that was deep in his faith. Rex was a Master Auto Mechanic for over 35 years. He loved family, friends, cooking, drag racing, motorcycles and life. He was most at ease when shrimping with Pop, or dreaming of a log cabin in the mountains. He will be dearly missed by the many lives he touched while on this earth.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara LaRotonda; daughters, Rebecca LaRotonda Stapleton and Tabitha Creel; sons, Justin LaRotonda and Matthew Creel; grandchildren, Haylee and Ashtyn Stapleton and Emily, Alex and Leo Creel; father, James LaRotonda; sisters, Rita LaRotonda, Lelia Warner and Judy Bailey; brothers, Ryan, Jim and David LaRotonda; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
