Raymond Joe Waller

Raymond Joe Waller, 77, of Waco, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 12 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with the Reverend Timothy D. Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 11 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Raymond was born November 3, 1946 in San Antonio, TX to the late Henry and Annie Waller. He married Rhonda Holmes on August 7, 1970 at Spring Street Baptist Church. He retired from Alamo Steel after working there for 43 years. Raymond served the Lord faithfully with Fearless Life Church Assembly of God and Kendrick Lane Baptist Church. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his memory will be cherished as a selfless, capable provider for his family. He was a constant presence in his family’s life, proudly attending his children’s activities, driving the family on road trips, and spending time with family and friends fishing and hunting. He enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Bears, as well as wood working, creating beautiful Christmas decorations that adorned his home many years. He was a proud Dad, PawPaw, and Hoss who will be greatly missed by all who were proud to know him. The family would like to thank the special staff at Wesley Woods Rehabilitation and Care Center who took loving care of Raymond.

He joins his departed parents, brothers, sisters, and mother-in-law, Opal Holmes, in life everlasting.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rhonda Waller; daughter, Miranda Unger, with Mason and Madison; son, Joshua Waller and wife, Heather, with Maci and Landon; nephews and nieces, Sean Holmes with Larkin; Amanda Howard and husband, Dwayne; sister-in-law, Linda Holmes; brother-in-law, Richard Goddard; sister, Doris Pick; many other special nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Joshua Waller, Sean Holmes, Dwayne Howard, Ronnie Breeding, Cody Bledsoe, Richard Goddard, Jeff Tucker, and Chad McCormick. Honorary Pallbearers are Mason Unger and Landon Waller.
