Randall Shafer

Randall “Randy” Brian Shafer, 59, of Hitchock, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Sunday, July 2, at Strong Tower Ministries, 7801 Burns St, in Hitchcock with Pastor Michael Adams officiating. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, at Osage Cemetery, 6924 Hwy. 185 Osage, Texas

Randy was born May 27, 1964 and raised in Waco until the age of 11 and later raised in Osage. He moved to Hitchcock in 2013 to find life and God. Randy was very committed to Strong Tower Ministries for them helping him find his faith and saving his life. Randy worked as a machinist and mechanic during his early years and loved working with his hands and fixing things. There are many cherished memories of him riding on his dune buggy and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice A. Shafer and Fay (Lee) Manske; brother, Mark Shafer; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Panici Shafer

Randy is survived by his children, Brian Shafer, Theresa Gidali and husband Brayon, James Shafer, and Michael Shafer; grandchildren, Axl Shafer, Cason Aguillard, Reese Shafer and Brynlee Gidali; sister, Robin Garrett; niece, LeAnne Iglehart; step-mother, Doris Norred; step-siblings, Tracy Nolte, Tony Croford, Todd Croford and Tiffany Lightfoot; lifelong best friend, John Lander.
