Phillip A. Reichel, 79, of Waco, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Waco Gun Club, 7209 Karl May Dr., Waco. Services are under the direction of Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Phillip A. Reichel was born December 15, 1935, in Eldon, MO, to Harold and Rosena Reichel. He married Patsy Jean in 1958. Phillip joined the United States Air Force in 1955 and finished his military career in 1985, retiring from the Texas Air National Guard. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University. Phillip retired from TSTC as an automotive instructor. He was a member of the Bellmead Masonic Lodge # 1329 in Bellmead, TX. Initiated on June 4, 1981, passed on August 3, 1981, raised on September 1, 1981, and served as a Worshipful Master in 1988-1989. He was a member of the York Rite of Free Masonry #45 in Waco, TX. Phillip was a member of Shriners International Karem Shriners in Waco, TX, elected and created a Shriner on March 13, 1982. He served on the Karem Ritualistic Degree Team as Ceremonial Degree Master for many years.
Phillip loved hunting, shooting guns, and his dogs. He was most proud of his military service and participation in all his postings. In his generous spirit, Phillip gave the gift of his eyes through donation.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Rosena Reichel; and his two sons, Gregory Gene and Gerald Dean Reichel.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patsy Reichel; son Harold Reichel and wife Brenda; grandsons, Jeremy Reichel, and Jerry Hogan; and great-granddaughter Serenity Faye Johnson-Reichel.
