Pearl LeBlanc

April 12, 1928 — September 28, 2022

Pearl Helen Guidroz LeBlanc, 94, of Hewitt, TX, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Griffin officiating. Music will be by Rev. Mark Griffin and friends, Rev. Samuel and Judy Nuckels. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, at the funeral home.
Pearl was born April 12, 1928, in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana to Ernestine Bernadette Dufrene Guidroz and Davis Pierre Guidroz, and she was the youngest of six children. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Herbon LeBlanc; son, Deryl LeBlanc and wife Joyce and her two granddaughters, Nicole LeBlanc and Holly LeBlanc.
Pearl began her career in New Orleans, Louisiana working for the Department of Agriculture in 1945. She continued working for the US Navy, US Army, NASA and completed her years of service at the Veterans Administration in Temple, Texas. She received an award for her superior performance and her loyalty and devotion in the positions she held. She retired on June 3, 1986, after 39 ½ years of working.
She loved her Lord with all her heart and attended Abundant New Life Assembly of God in Waco. She was faithful with her attendance until earlier this year. She loved her church family and loved to spend time with them.
We want to thank the many med techs and aids of Ridgecrest Assisted Living that loved our “Meme” as their own, the Accent Hospice nurses and aids, and the wonderful sitters that have sat with our Meme. A special shout out to Ms. Joyce Crawford that was her first sitter as she and Meme watched the Game Show Network. I know Meme had a great reunion with so many from the church that went before her, her siblings and Ms. Joyce. Also, we are so thankful for the precious time Nicole and Holly had with their grandmother recently sitting by her side, singing hymns, laughing, and loving on her. They will always cherish this time with her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pearl’s home church, Abundant New Life Assembly of God, 1905 Monte Vista, Waco, Tx 76711.
