Paul G. Kunze, 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 4, 2022 in Waco, Texas with his beloved wife Mildred Vorderkunz Kunze of 72 years at his side.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 8, 2022, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson, TX, on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jacob Brenton officiating. Graveside services will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Paul was born January 31, 1930, in Waco, Texas, to Fred and Emma (Parr) Kunze. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Fred and Emma Kunze, his sister Mary Lou Jahnke, and his brother Freddie Kunze of Virginia.
He graduated from Waco Technical High School in 1947. He was employed at Owens-Illinois for 44 years. While working at Owens-Illinois he was drafted in U.S. Army serving in Korean War. He proudly served his country. After returning from the Army, he went to work at the Glass Plant. Even though he worked long and hard, he enjoyed camping, square dancing, football, baseball, traveling in the motor home and spending time with family. Paul was a faithful member of St. John Church of Christ at Robinson. He loved his church where he served on the church council and had many friends.
He is survived by wife Mildred; brothers Robert Kunze and wife Betty; Jim Kunze and wife Sue, sister, Shirley Flores and husband Rudy and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Mark Kunze, Joel Kunze, Jeff Kunze, Greg Kunze, Tommy Sykora, and Carl Meier.
