Patti Jo Farney Halbert, 60, of Robinson, TX, went to be with her Lord, August 8, 2021. Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, August 13, at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S. 12th St, Waco, TX with Pastor Matt Snowden officiating.
Patti was born on November 30, 1960 in Marlin, TX to Mary Ruth (Cain) and Clarkie Farney. Later, she married Rayburn Halbert. At a young age, Patti enjoyed horseback riding, basketball, band, and baking (especially cakes). She was also a twirler at Lorena High School and a member of Future Homemakers of America. She graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and was a successful accountant and entrepreneur throughout the rest of her life. For the last 20 years, she has owned After 5 Formal Wear in Robinson where she always had a way of making her customers feel very beautiful and loved. Patti’s family will remember her as someone who was caring, hopeful, generous, and the ultimate “boss lady.” She taught her children about strength, leadership, patience, to be humble, and to stand up for what they believed in.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarkie Farney.
She is survived by her husband, Rayburn Halbert; children, Mynda Residori, Rebecca Chapman and husband, William, and Jim Halbert and wife, Alicia; mother, Mary Farney; brother, Milton Farney and wife, Julia; grandchildren, Tyler Residori, Dylan Residori, Cadyn Residori, William Christian Chapman, and Isabella Kristelle Chapman.
