Patsy Darlene Densman Sikes, 73, of Waco, passed away after a short illness, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Providence Healthcare Center. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 6 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Robinson, Texas, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Beverly Hills Baptist Church, 4112 Memorial Drive, Waco, Texas with Bro. Carroll Hambrick and Bro. Victor Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Patsy was born October 17, 1941 to Tince and Louise Densman, in Marlin, Texas. She attended schools in Marlin and then Waco, graduating from University High School in Waco in 1960.
She married Jack (Buddy) Sikes on December 31, 1988, in Waco, Texas. They were married for 24 years.
Patsy loved life, loving her children and grandchildren and family. She prepared and treasured Sunday family lunches and looked forward to spending time with her family every Sunday. She was defined by her unmistakened, infectious laugh, and found the best in any situation. She loved a good laugh, a good bargain, and spending time with her sister Betty and doting on her younger brother, Dwayne.She was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church of Waco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tince and Louise Densman, her husband, Jack (Buddy) Sikes, sister in law Ruth Kilpatrick, one nephew and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Combs of Lorena, Rhonda Owens and husband Rickey of Waco, step daughter Elizabeth Sikes Brim of Temple; three grandchildren, Chris Cook of Waco, Ashley Combs Norris of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Marisa Rodgers and husband Warren of Waco; three great grandchildren, Hayley Cook, Nevaeh Cook, and Colt Rodgers of Waco; one sister, Betty Bryant and husband Bob of Aquilla, Texas; one brother Dwayne and wife Jackie Densman of Waco; sister in laws Virginia Canady of Hewitt, Texas; Barbara Young of Waco, Texas; Patsy Willis of Speegleville, Texas; and Willis Sikes of Norman, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
