Patsy (Pat) Darwin, a resident at Brookdale Lake Brazos Assisted Living was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on February 23, 2025. She was born June 5, 1930 to Virgil and Opal May. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She grew up in Temple, Texas. After graduating from Temple High School, she attended Howard Payne College in Brownwood, where she met the love of her life, Doyle Darwin, who became an ordained Baptist minister. She served well as a minister’s wife for over 40 years.
She loved the Lord, and she gave her heart to her Lord and Savior at Memorial Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. She has been a member of First Baptist Church Hewitt.
Her career was a medical insurance clerk for several doctor’s offices.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Opal May, her husband, Rev. Doyle Darwin, her sister, Betty Alfona, her son, Donald Darwin, and her nephew, Bill Alfona.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Darwin of Dallas, a son, David Darwin of Hewitt, a grandson, Justin Darwin (Pricilla), two granddaughters, Missy Betten and Tara Haines, a great granddaughter, Gracie Haines, five great grandsons, Maddox and Max Darwin, Colton Haines, Leighton Haines, and Jackson Betten.

Graveside services will be Friday, February 28 at 11am at Robinson Cemetery Pavilion with a visitation at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the youth fund at First Baptist Church of Hewitt.
