Eddy

Patsy Casey, 80, of Eddy, graduated to her heavenly reward in the early morning hours of October 8, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 12, 2024, at Bruceville Community Church located at 583 Old Moody Road in Eddy.

Patsy was born November 10, 1943, in Waco, Texas, to Andrew Bert and Katie B. Philley. She attended school in Waco and graduated from University High School in 1962.  On July 14, 1962, she married the love of her life, Robert Casey, of Dallas who was stationed at James Connally Air Force Base. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and joy.  Patsy worked at Owens Illinois for 32 years, and she retired from there in 2007. She was a member of Bruceville Community Church and loved being a part of the women’s ministry, Soul Sisters.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Katie, her sisters Doris Price and Joy Meador, and her brothers Herbert “Buddy” Reinke and Jerry Philley.

Patsy is survived by her husband Robert Casey, son Lee Casey and wife, Amy, of Moody, son Andrew Casey and wife, Vicki, of Georgia, daughter Kim Reid and husband, William, of Eddy, son Michael Casey and wife, Angela, of Lorena, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A devoted wife, loving mother, adoring Mamaw and dear friend, her presence in our lives was a true gift. Patsy always offered love, support and a bright smile, along with a joyful quirky sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Accent Hospice for the love and compassion they showed our beloved wife, mother and Mamaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bruceville Community Church, PO Box 65, Eddy, TX 76524.
