Opal M. Holt, 76, of Robinson, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, August 15 at 10am at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. with Rev. Jim Berger to officiate. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday, Aug. 14 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
Opal was born February 17, 1938 in Hubbard, Texas. She was the youngest of 4 sisters and one brother. They preceded her in death except one sister who lives in Waco. She went to school in Hubbard, moved to Dallas, then Waco, where she met and married her husband Troy Holt in 1968. They had 2 children, son Troy Holt and daughter, Renee Coker. Opal loved to hunt and fish. She also loved to cook big meals for her family and friends. Opal had a great love for life and she loved everyone. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lois McGinnis; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Holt; son, Troy Holt and friend Stephine; daughter Renee Coker and husband Mike; grandchildren, Michael Stanley, Russell Battles, Casey Coker, Katie Holt, Cody Holt, and Hunter Holt; sister, Lorene Curry and many nieces and nephews.
