Norma Ross

Norma Dell Owens Ross, 80, of Chilton was called home on Christmas Day while surrounded by family at Hillcrest Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Wednesday, December 30 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Interment will follow at Chilton Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, December 29 from 6– 8p.m. at the funeral home.
Norma was born March 8, 1935 in Mooreville, Texas to Johnny and Eulene (Thrasher) Owens. She married Wayne Ross on October 11, 1951. She worked on and off as a beautician for a few years, but her main focus in life was being a homemaker, wife, and mother. She enjoyed going on camping trips, going dancing, and her favorite hobby was making quilts. Her greatest pride and joy were her 4 grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hughie Owens and Richard Owens.
Norma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wayne; two daughters, Carrie Guderian of Golinda, Shirley Engelbrecht and husband Garry of Crawford; son, Darrel Ross and fiancé Lisa Pursley of Robinson; grandchildren, Ross Smitham, Courtney Smitham, Jordan (Ross) Koslovsky and husband David, and Taylor Ross.
