Nellie Robinson, 64 of Waco, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Dr. Nathan Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robinson was born on August 30, 1940 in Kerens, TX to Homer Rawley Combs and Georgia Marie (Reynolds) Combs. She married Donald “Robbie” Robinson on Sept. 2, 1963 in Waco. She attended Waco schools, and was formerly a real estate agent in Burleson. For the last 11 years, she has been the concession manager at Redman Bingo Hall, and had many friends at the bingo hall. She was a past State Pocahontas of Texas Redman, and she loved going to Shreveport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; a son, Stephen Stahr; a sister, Shirley Gatlin; and a brother, Robert Combs.
She is survived by her daughter, Tara Sandlin and husband Paul of Cleburne; grandson Tory Endtricht of Cleburne; sisters Pat Childs and husband Lester of Waco, and Georgia Stone and husband Jerry of West; and numerous nieces and nephews.
