With broken hearts, we would like to share that our beloved Nathan West passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Nathan Allen West was born on January 2, 1981, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Pastor Roger and Sue West. Nathan married the love of his life on October 24, 2008, and together they built a family with Braeden, Brandon, and Riley. He worked with his parents and later his wife in the family business.
Nathan loved riding his motorcycle, fishing and spending time out on the family land or out at Surfside, but what he really loved was spending time with his family. Nathan was fiercely proud of his family, and his favorite times were those spent together.
To know Nathan was to know one of the most amazingly selfless individuals, a true diamond in the rough. Nathan was a man of God, and it did not just show in the things he said, but in the way that he lived his life. He was just…real. In a world where so many do not show their true selves, Nathan was a breath of fresh air with a heart of absolute gold. Whether it was helping stray dogs find a home, helping someone on the side of the road with a flat tire or a drained battery, taking a hot meal to a stranger or just giving the best hug exactly when you needed it, Nathan was there. His servant’s heart led him to help anyone and everyone that he encountered. His kindness and love has touched a countless number of hearts and lives.
We know that his memory will live on in all of the countless lives he has touched in the short amount of time that God loaned him to us.
Nathan leaves behind his beloved wife, Jodi Meagan West, his sons Braeden Christopher, Brandon Wayne, and his daughter Riley Sue. He is also survived by his parents Pastor Roger and Sue West, brother Pastor Chad West, his wife Misty and son Easton, sister Christy West, and niece Brianna and son Tyler; parents in law James and Jamie Wolfe, brother-in-law AJ Wolfe and his wife Ashlyn, sister-in-law Karin Wolfe, sister-in-law Emily Busby, brother-in-law Trey Busby; mentor Mark Robbins and many other beloved family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Fellowship of Central Texas officiated by Pastor Roger West. The pallbearers will be Mark Robbins, Glenn Schwanke, Philip Barak, Jason Wolfe, AJ Wolfe and Trey Busby under the direction of Pecan Grove Funeral home.
