On December 8, 2017, our beloved Mother and Meme went to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, as she passed from this life at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest, in Waco, TX. Funeral services for Naomi F. Leach, 75, will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Dr. Morgan Woodward officiating. Visitation will one hour prior to service beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Cedar Point Cemetery, Brownwood, TX, with her son, Chaplain Dayton Leach officiating.
Naomi was born January 11, 1942, to Marvin and Laura Gober, Sr. She attended school in Brownwood, TX. She later married B. R. Leach on July 3, 1956. Her beloved husband passed away in 2010. Naomi was a wife and a homemaker.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, B.R. Leach; her parents, Marvin and Laura Gober Sr.; brothers James, Marvin, and Alton Wayne Gober; sister, Dorothy Billings; along with five siblings who died at birth.
Naomi is survived by her five children, Sharron Humbert and husband Jay, of Robinson, Glenn Leach and wife Sharon of Waco, Glenda Sherfield and husband Randy, of Brownwood, Dayton Leach and wife Robin, of Brownwood, and Lyndon Leach and wife Gloria of Bangs; grandchildren, Jeff Tucker of Waco, Justin Tucker of Waco, Taylor Tucker of Waco, Chris Humbert of Bruceville-Eddy, Alan Humbert of Watonga, Ok, Jennifer Hunt of Waco, Amanda Snow of Early, Brandon Shane McCarthy of Brownwood, Aimee Jones of Aztec, NM, Cody Leach of Lampasas, Joe Leach of Brownwood, Kyna Leach of Brownwood; great-grandchildren, Serinity McNett, of Robinson, Tayden of Waco, Gavyn Tucker, Sean Tucker, Evelyn Tucker, Skylar Williams of Waco, Nicholas and Jessica Humbert of Bruceville-Eddy, and Emma and Eric Humbert of Watonga, OK, Crystal Butler, of Lorena, Aliviah Hunt of Waco, Kailey and Braxton Snow of Early, Hannah and Riley McCarthy of Tolar, Irelyn Jones of Aztec, NM, Lorelai Kimbler, Zoey and Kendi Leach of Lampasas; great-great-grandson Brennan Mayer; and several nieces and nephews.
