Nancy Lee Marchman, 70, of Moody went to be with the Lord Monday, September 29, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 1pm on Friday, October 3 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. The family will receive visitors Thursday, October 2 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
Nancy was born on an Indian reservation in Leadville, CO and despite challenges early in her childhood, she managed to grow into a caring and loving woman with a deep sense of faith and family. Nancy was a people person. She loved to help others and her choice of a career in the home health field reflected that desire to nurture those around her. She was an avid reader, enjoyed experiencing as many restaurants as she could (and offering her opinions!), and was a collector of many things, especially dolls and rocks. Nancy really enjoyed travelling and would often take a little bit of each destination home with her. She will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to call her mom, grandma, sister or friend.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Malvin and Ruth Smith; brother, Joe Thomas Sampson; and husbands, J.F. Marchman and J.B. Chaney, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Charles Goble and wife Judy, Reynold Saive, Patricia Larza and husband Robert, Alex Saive and wife Marcia and Larry Smith and wife Kim; sister, Ramona Vanslyke; multiple grandchildren and several cherished nieces, nephews and extended family members.
