Mildred Ann Easley, age 87, of Robinson, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016, at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, at Bethel Methodist Church, 104 S. Old Robinson Road, Robinson, TX, with Pastor Jerry Freedman officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Ann was born in Rockdale, TX, August 14, 1929, to H.L. Gruesendorf and Frieda Makowski. They moved to Waco in 1930 where Ann attended Waco schools, graduating from Waco High in 1947. She continued her education at Baylor University and Four C Business College. She enjoyed 55 years in accounting and a lifetime of music being recognized for her piano, accordion and voice. She married Ray Browder Easley on Sept. 15, 1961, having 44 wonderful years and rearing two loving sons, Matthew and Russell. She was a lifelong Methodist and member of Bethel Methodist Church. Ann was a true friend and had a strong faith that kept her always with a smile.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray, son Matthew and grandson Lee Rummel.
Ann is survived by her son Russell Easley and wife Connie, of Robinson; step-daughters Louise Martin and Brenda Howell and their families of Indiana; step-son Michael Easley and wife Penny and their families of South Carolina; granddaughters Kimberly Pennington and husband Ross, Lara Hunt and husband Shawn, Bethany Fortner and husband Bobby; grandson, Samuel Easley; great-grandchildren Taylor, Case and Colt Pennington; Jackson, Harper and Knox Hunt; Evan, Conner, Henry, Heath and Halle Fortner, and Christopher Ragsdale.
The family expresses deep gratitude and love to her caregivers Jenna Horn, Tia Tucker and Providence Hospice; and to the church families of Bethel Methodist and Mooreville UMC.
