Mildred Diehl

June 2, 1925 — December 25, 2024

On December 25th, 2024, Christmas day, Mildred (Millie) Padgett Diehl was lifted up into the arms of angels and taken to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior where they will surely be celebrating His Holy birthday. Thank you, Jesus!

Mrs. Diehl was at Renaissance Park Multi Care Center in Fort Worth, Texas at the time of her death where she had been in residence for the past 2 years. They took great care of her and gave her much love. Thank you!

She was 99 1/2 years of age and was looking forward to her 100th birthday party. She was known as Mammaw to everyone and loved by all. She spent her life's work as a wife and mother, which she excelled at.

Mrs. Diehl was born in Hillsboro, Texas on June 2nd, 1925 to Charlie Padgett and Mary Adcock Padgett, she was the youngest of 3 children. Her older brothers were Charles and Joe Padgett. She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers and her youngest child, Kathy Burson, who was taken too soon by Covid 3 months after the passing of our daddy. 2021 was a difficult year for mother.

She was married to Bob Diehl for 78 long years. They were the parents of 3 children, Evelyn Murphy (Tootie) from Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Diehl (Rusty) from Mabank, Texas with his wife, Shirley and Kathy Burson deceased. These three children produced 8 granddaughters, yes all girls..Jenise Francis, Denise Carlson, Shelley Hitchcock, Erica Burton, Emily Lewis, Kasondra Henderson, Karrissa Edwards and Kerri Turner. There are 14 great-grandchildren at last count and many great-great grands and counting.

Mrs. Diehl, our mother and grandmother, was the rock and glue that held the family together and was loved very much by all. She will be greatly missed, but now you can rest mother.

The family would like to thank Gateway Hospice and Renaissance Park Multi Care Center in Fort Worth for their care and support. We would like to pay special attention, appreciation and thanks to Beacon Hill Baptist Church and Pastor Mike Ferus and his wife Paula for the service and their support.

Services will be at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco on Thursday, January 2nd at 1:00. She will be available for viewing and a celebration of her life 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas.
