Mildred Ann Currie, 68, of Riesel, went to join our heavenly Father, her husband Robert (Bob) and daughter Tracie, in heaven, on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and granny. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 5 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, at the funeral home.
Ann married the love of her life, Robert, on September 26, 1970. They were blessed with twin girls, Tracie and Stacie. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Alyssa. Ann was a graduate of LaVega High School. She went to work with her mother, Jo Ellen Teat, as a hairdresser for years. She then went to work for Texas Farm Bureau and retired from there after 30 years to help babysit her granddaughter.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Tracie; mother, Jo Ellen, and sister, Deborah.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Stacie and husband Chris; granddaughter Alyssa; sister, Kathy and husband David; brother, Floyd; father William and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Crestview Nursing Home staff and nurses, especially Gala, for the loving care given to Ann.
