Michael E. Robinson Jr., age 27, of McGregor, passed away Saturday May 30, 2020 at his residence in McGregor.
Michael was born on February 4, 1993 in Jacksonville, NC to Michael Eugene Robinson, Sr. and Teresa Lynn Harding Robinson. He was raised in and graduated from McGregor High School in 2011. After high school, he went to McLennan Jr College, Baylor University, then on to North Texas University. Michael then returned to McGregor where he worked at C3 until his passing.
Michael was a member of Christian Life Church, now River City, from the age of 13 until his passing. He also attended Oasis Worship Center with his grandmother, aunts and cousins. Michael played bass in the youth and church worship team at River City and was a Youth and Sunday School mentor. Michael was loved by all who knew him. He was an honor student all through school. He was in Honor Society and PALS Program. He was involved in football (all state 2010) and he was voted Class Clown his senior year…which of course surprises none of us. He loved basketball, football, video games, music and his MeMaw. He was MeMaw’s Pet!
Michael’s quick wit and love for people made him the person people wanted to be best friends with. Those he worked with at C3 say that Michael was a fast learner and a blessing.
Left to cherish his memories are his Father, Michael Eugene Robinson and Mother, Teresa Lynn Harding Robinson; two brothers, Taylor DeVante Robinson and Macen Sean Robinson; Paternal Grandparents, Weldon and Shirley Thomas; Maternal Grandparents, Ronald and Carrie Harding plus many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Honorable Mention, CLC Fusion Youth Family & Oasis Worship Center Family.
To say that Michael was a clown, is really an understatement. He had a way of stirring up a hornet’s nest with the girls, telling them that their place was in the kitchen, and still they loved him for his quick wit. As a friend has said, “He was king of back-handed compliments and sly sarcasm, and the first one there to protect you, too”. Michael’s shoes will never be filled by any other.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00am. Visitation will be held the evening before from 6pm-8pm. Both will be held at River City Church, 3015 Robinson Drive Waco, TX 76706. Following the service, Interment will be held at McGregor Cemetery in McGregor, TX.
