Michael Ray Goff, 52, of Lorena, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, at St. Jerome Catholic Church by Msgr. Isidore Rozycki and Deacon Greg George.
A vigil service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, followed by visitation with his family.
Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery under the direction of Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Michael attended St. Pius V Catholic Grade School in Pasadena and graduated from Pasadena High School. He then attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a degree in agronomy and developing a life-long loyalty for everything Aggie - even his casket will be maroon. Mike read voraciously especially everything about theology and church history. He attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Waco. In his free time Mike loved playing golf and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Goff of Lorena; father, Grover C. Goff of Muskogee, OK.; brothers, Steve Goff of Lorena and fiancé Rhonda Reiman of Hewitt, and Rick Goff of Leroy; sister, Lynda Turman and husband, Ricky of Robinson; nephew, Kyle Goff; nieces, Christi Linder and husband David, Amanda and Lyndsey Turman, and Meagan and Shelby Goff; three grand nephews, and two grand nieces.
Pallbearers will be Garret Taylor, Stephen Spencer, and all his nieces and nephews.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Catholic charity of your choice.
