Michael Wayne Gabriel was born on October 16, 1959, in Waco, Texas. On June 7, 2023, he passed peacefully to our heavenly father with loved ones by his side.
Mike was the son of the late Herman and Cora (Barganier) Gabriel. He worked for Davis Publishing and Airborne for many years. He loved all sports but particularly baseball and the Dallas Cowboys.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Waylon and Glenn Gabriel.
He is survived by his sister, Janis Jackson and husband Dayne of Lorena, Texas; nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Jana, Amanda, Christopher, Erick and Josh; and his lifelong friends, Vicky, Dean and David.
The family would like to thank every individual at The Brazos at Waco, Baylor Scott & White - Waco, and Continuing Care – Temple for giving Mike such outstanding and professional care. They would also like to say special thanks to Chaplin Houser, Ann Houser, and June Stevens.
Memorial services will be 1 pm Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Wayne Blackshear, pastor of the Primrose Drive Baptist Church, officiating.
Family suggests memorials be made to the Primrose Drive Baptist Church, PO Box 488, Waco, TX, 76703-0488.
