Melvin Kemp passed away peacefully on November 15, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family, friends, and his devoted and loving wife, Pamela Kemp, of 24 years. Melvin was born February 18, 1955. He was an avid racing fan, loved going on cruises, and fishing.
A Service of Remembrance will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Melvin was preceded in death by his father, Merle Kemp, a brother John Kemp, and a sister, Melissa Kemp.
Melvin was the proud father of three sons Melvin Kemp Jr., John Kemp, and Thomas Smith Jr., as well as two daughters Angela Allison and Michele (Cliff) Marion. He is also survived by his wife Pamela; his mother, Maureen Kemp; sisters, Shirley Jenkins and Judy Graham; brothers Kenneth, Mark, David, and Marvin Kemp. He leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
