Dee was a second-generation U.S. Navy Seabee, retiring from the Navy in 1990 as a EO1. Dee enlisted in the service in 1961 and made his first deployment to The Republic of Vietnam with NMCB 3 in 1966. He made a second deployment to Vietnam with NMCB 10 in 1970. A combat action veteran, he thoroughly enjoyed, and was very proud of, being a Seabee. His career took him around the world several times, from Port Hueneme California to Rota Spain, Guam, Okinawa, Sicily, Diego Garcia and so many other places he loved to tell colorful stories about. His career culminated with several deployments to Antarctica before ultimately retiring in 1990. He then worked for and retired from the City of McGregor.
The world is a less colorful place without him in it and he will be dearly missed. We love you dad!
