Melissa Resendez

Melissa Resendez, 51, of Waco, passed away August 18, 2016. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10:00 am with Benjamin Resendez officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be, Monday, August 22, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr, Waco.

Melissa was born in Lubbock Texas, on April 4, 1965 to Elizar and Judy Torres. At the age of 15 she met and fell in love with her husband Rudy. In their 34 years of marriage they had 3 children and 2 grandchildren. In her early life she took pride in being a nanny and then transitioned over to taking care of the elderly. Eventually she became a stay at home mom. Her life revolved around her beloved family. She had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys and loved watching the games with her family. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Torres.

Melissa is survived by her husband of 34 years, Rudy Resendez, loving children, daughter, Juliana Resendez, son, Rudy and wife Neomi Resendez, and son Robert Resendez, grandchildren, Tatiana Clark and Solie Resendez, brother, Sammy Torres, sister, Yvonne and husband Bill Zollicoffer, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
