Melissa Marquez Garcia, 36, of Alvarado passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 7th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Pastor Joey Marquez officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6-8 pm, Monday, June 6th at the funeral home.
Melissa was born May 8, 1980 to Willie Marquez and Rosalinda Arias in Lubbock, Texas. She lived in the Fort Worth area for many years. Melissa was a CNA, who loved taking care of her patients.
She is preceded in death by grandfathers, Cleto Marquez, Mike Ramirez, Leonard Marquez and Don Jose Arias; grandmother, Hilaria Ramirez; and niece, Catherine Marquez.
Melissa is survived by her children, Willie R. Marquez of Waco, and Kanya Garcia of Alvarado; parents, Willie Marquez of Waco and Rosalinda Hendricks of Alvarado; three brothers, Cleto Marquez and wife Candy, Joey Marquez and wife Mireya, Michael Marquez and wife Crystal; three sisters, Melinda Garza and husband Luis, Sammie Marquez, Martha Marquez; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Willie R. Marquez, Lorenzo Garza, Cleto Marquez II, Cleto Marquez III, Michael Marquez, and Juan Quiroz Jr.
