Matilda Estrada, 71, of Robinson, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was born March 13, 1946, to Jesus and Anila Bargas Estrada, in Austin, Texas, one of six sisters and seven brothers.
Matilda was a loving mother who loved to sew and quilt for her family. As she got older she enjoyed watching church services on television, especially John Osteen. She also was a talented writer and wrote many poems. Matilda especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often babysitting for them.
Matilda was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Mike Cantu, Sr., and wife Isabell; daughter, Patsy Cantu; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
