Mary “Carla” Bauman Patton, 63 of Waco went to her spirit in the sky on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Carla was born February 22, 1955 to Ernest and Elsie Bauman in Germany. She grew up in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1973. After graduation she married John Mugge followed by the birth of one daughter. After moving to Waco, she married Malcom Moses and was blessed with four sons which together was their world.
Mary Carla Bauman Mugee Moses Patton was a woman known with many names. She continued her education throughout the years; she strived to complete her Master Degree in higher education and was able to apply this to her passion in life.
With an eclectic mind she tackled the world; no subject or field of study was safe around her. She never sought to fit into this world but worked to make the world conform to her. Though not the easiest of roads, it was one in which she enjoyed and flourished.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents; and the father of her sons, Malcom Moses.
She is survived by her children Anne Elizabeth Mugge McCann, Carey Allen Moses and wife Jennifer, Charles Lee Moses and wife Megan along with their two children Ben and Daniel, Philip Tucker Moses, and Stephen Rhemy David Moses. Carla was the oldest of six children and is also survived by her sister, Lisa Tolbertt and husband Tim, brother, Charlie Bauman and wife Charlotte, sister, Leslie Clay Mason and husband Shannon, brother, Lee Bauman and wife Jackie, and sister, Kelly Mincher; and many nieces and nephews.
