Mary Murphy

Mary Alice Murphy, 90, of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Family of Faith Church of the Nazarene, 3336 Garden Dr, Waco, with Pastor Jim Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 5 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Mary Alice was born June 2, 1927, to James and A.Z. Porter Woody, in Iredell, TX. She worked as a nurse at Providence Health Center and DePaul for 25 years. Mary Alice was strong in her Nazarene faith.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband, William Bryant Murphy; son, Roger Murphy; brother, Thomas Woody; and sister, Katie Woody.
Mary Alice is survived by her children, Rosalind Jordan and husband Charles, Paul Murphy and wife Connie, and David Murphy and wife Lucy; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
