Mary E. (Mary Lou ) Dayhoff passed away on Sunday Dec. 11, 2016 surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be 10 am Tuesday Dec. 13, 2016 at Waco Memorial Park, 6623 S. I35, Waco, with Rev. Joe Chanmess officiating. The family will receive visitors Monday Dec. 12, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr.
Mary Lou was born in Waco, Texas on July 19, 1923 to A.M. and Gracie Pearl Scott Warrick; the 5th of 7 children. She married Charles Murray in 1940 and this marriage was blessed with one daughter, Beverly Ann. In 1945, she married James (Jimmy) G. Dayhoff, Sr. in Waco and celebrated 50 plus years of marriage prior to his death in 1999. This union was blessed with two sons; James G Dayhoff, Jr., and Terry Wayne Dayhoff. May Lou retired after 30 years from the Owens- Illinois Glass Plant. Following retirement, she owned and operated the Diet Center of Waco. Mary Lou loved painting and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of Robinson Drive United Methodist Church.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents; son, James G Dayhoff, Jr.; daughter, Beverly Ann Taylor; husband, James G. Dayhoff, Sr. ; siblings, Lorraine Warrick, Clara (Sis) LeGrone, Jack Warrick, A.M. (Junior) Warrick, and Betty Jean (Sotsie) Woody.
She is survived by her son, Terry Dayhoff and wife Debbie of Arizona; son-in-law, Charles Taylor of Moody; brother, Ellis Warrick and wife Gloria of Cego; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
