Mary Lucille Ducas, 93, of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, at Waco Memorial Park, with Pastor Wayne Blackshear officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Lucille was born October 15, 1923, in Bellmead, Texas, to John and Bertha Harvey. She attended McLennan county schools. Lucille had an eye for detail and a passion for interior decorating. She worked at Dallas World Trade Center and Auzelle’s Fabrics in Waco. Lucille’s favorite time of year was Christmas, when she could decorate her Christmas trees and give her handmade ornaments to family and friends. Known as Honeymom to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved her family very much. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Van Zandt; brothers, James Harvey, Leonard Harvey, John Wesley Harvey, and Bobby Harvey; and her grandson John Wayne Devers.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Clyde Ray Devers; sisters, Velma Mallory, Jessie Poindexter, and Bessie Collins; grandchildren, Kirk Van Zandt and Tammi Lavorante; her great-grandsons, Colby Lavorante and Ryan Lavorante; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
