Mary (Tońa) Sigala Curiel, 85, of Waco, formerly of Anaheim, California, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Catherine’s with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 10 am, Thurs, Feb. 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2621 Bagby Ave, Waco. A visitation will be 6 to 7 pm, Wed, Feb. 10, followed by a rosary 7 to 8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
Mary was born on July 17, 1930 to Saturino and Esperanza Sigala in Hollywood, California. She was the second child of seven. Mary married Miguel Curiel in July 1950, in Yuma, Arizona. Together they had five children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Sally Lopez and husband, Jesus of McGregor; sons, Mike Jr. of LaQuinta, CA, Jimmy and wife, Holly of Waco; longtime companion and caregiver, Fred of Yorba Linda, CA, Eddie and wife, Yvonne of Austin; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike Sigala and wife, Janice, Zeke Sigala; sisters, Belia Klein, Nellie Ray and husband, Ron; along with many nieces and nephews.
