Mary Louise (Kaddatz) Compton, 92, of Waco, TX, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2000 Clay Ave, Waco, TX, with Rev. Robert Kobler officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX.
Mary was born March 7, 1929, in Malone, TX, to Herman and Alice Kaddatz. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Salem Lutheran Church in Malone, TX. On October 26, 1946, she married Johnnie Compton. They shared 58 wonderful years together and were very devoted to each other. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2004.
Mary worked at Montgomery Wards as a credit supervisor for 34 years. She enjoyed fishing and helping Johnnie around the house. She was a long-time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waco. She loved her family very much and was always there for them when needed.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Compton and her parents, Herman and Alice Kaddatz. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Compton Hughes; granddaughter, Jennifer Guyton; great-grandchildren, Ty Parker and wife Alicia, and Morgan Guyton; great-great-granddaughter, Reagan Faye Parker; special family friend who was like a daughter to Mary, Fay Parker; along with many much loved in-laws.
