Mark Andrew Kraemer, age 52 of Waco, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at Providence Hospital. A memorial service will be held 10am Friday December 7, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. Waco; a luncheon will follow at Knights of Columbus Hall, 5515 Sanger.
Mark was born on January 21, 1966 in Waco. He was the son of Eugene and Marilyn (Cole) Kraemer. He attended St Marys elementary and graduated from Reicher Catholic High School in 1984.
Mark was a health care worker in local nursing facilities. He studied Journalism at MCC and was a talented artist. He enjoyed art, travel, cooking and spending time with friends and family, especially his three grandchildren.
He was an avid collector of cookie jars, nutcrackers, and the works of JRR Tolkien. He was one of the founding members of Waco Rocks.
Mark is survived by one daughter, Susan Westerfield. (spouse Matt Westerfield) of Pekin, Ill, grandson Jared Kraemer of Pekin, grandson Luke Westerfield of Pekin, grandson Bennie Martinez of Devine, Tx, parents Gene and Marilyn (Cole) Kraemer of Waco, brother Michael Kraemer (spouse Cathy Jo Smith) of West, Tx, one sister Jennifer Ewing (spouse Brent Ewing) of Robinson, Tx, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Virginia (Brennan) Cole of Waco; grandparents, Andrew and Barbara (Hearter) Kraemer of Leola, S.D.; grandmother, Lila (Schell) Kraemer of Aberdeen, S.D.
For the past few weeks, Mark has resided at Providence Park St Catherine’s Center for rehab. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff for their excellent care.
Because Mark's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and young friends, memorials may be made in his honor to Toys for Tots campaign.
