Mark Anthony Fleischhauer, age 60, of Riesel, TX, passed away on May 2, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, at Riesel Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Lentz officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Mark was born on May 13, 1962, to Milton and Carolyn Fleischhauer in Waco, Texas. Mark grew up with a love for sports and enjoyed playing football and baseball. He was a proud graduate of Riesel High School, class of 1980.
Mark married Kim Cuen, with whom he shared two sons, Alex and Will.
Mark spent much of his career working in the heating and air conditioning industry. After retiring from Carrier Enterprise in January of 2022, Mark spent as much time as possible with family and friends. Some of his favorite times were playing in the monthly domino tournaments in Riesel and enjoying rounds of pool with friends. He never turned down the challenge of a game of chess or cards with his sons or grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Fleischhauer, and his grandparents, August and Lydia Fleischhauer, and Paul and Mable Kuretsch.
Mark is survived by his mother, Carolyn Fleischhauer, sons, Alex Fleischhauer (Amber) and Will Fleischhauer; sister Lisa Searight (Donny); grandsons, Aiden and Adrian; niece, Megan Smith (Andrew); and nephews, Austin Searight and Landon Searight. He is also survived by his aunts Sharon Kuretsch, Margaret Abel, and Shirley Kuretsch, along with his cousins, Kari, Kathy, Mike, Karen, and Kevin; also, Donald, Debbie, Audrey, Thomas, Larry and Susan.
