Marjorie married James Buckner on January 26, 1948. From this marriage, they had three beautiful daughters. Marjorie was a talented seamstress who made all of her daughters clothes for many years. Marjorie became a homemaker and helped on the family farm and dairy until James’ passing after 30 years of marriage. Marjorie worked at Lorena High School from 1969-1989 where the students and staff lovingly referred to her as “grandma” because of her willingness to work with and listen to them. Marjorie was actively involved for over 60 years at Cottonwood Baptist Church where she was in charge of the social committee for many years.

After retirement, Marjorie enjoyed dominoes, playing cards, and was an avid fan of Days of Our Lives.
Marjorie married Louis Wedemeyer in 1995. They spent their senior years enjoying each other’s company, traveling, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Marjorie was a strong willed lady that had a caring heart and loved people. She loved joking around with everyone she met - stranger or not.
