Marie Elena Jorgenson

Marie Elena Jorgenson of Waco departed this life on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29^th at Waco Memorial Park. A visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28^th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Marie was born on March 10, 1949, to Julia Leal and Cipriano Saucedo, in Waco, TX. She grew up in Texas and Louisiana with her two brothers and three sisters. As a loving wife to Wayne Jorgeson for fifty years, they together nurtured four generations of children and grandchildren. Throughout their life, Marie loved to travel and have good times with friends and loved ones. She surrounded herself with mystery novels and took great pleasure & passion in cooking comfort food. Anyone that knew Marie knew she got a kick out of trying her luck with bingo and living life on her own terms. Quick witted and strong willed, Marie always spoke her mind – she was a pleasure to know and will be dearly missed. 

Marie is survived by her husband, Wayne Jorgenson; three children, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
