Margie was born in Delia, Texas, Friday, April 13, 1928, the only survivor of 6 infants, born to Claude Andrew and Cora Ethel Hance Herring. She was 8 years old when her mother passed away. In later years she was blessed with a wonderful step-mother, Grace Herring, two step-brothers, G.W. and Don Herring and later joined by a sister, Gwen and brothers, Kenneth and Phillip.
Margie worked as a Pharmacy Assistant for many years in Waco, until she and Wendell retired. They later worked in the antiquing business, some their happiest times. Margie loved antiques, Dr. Peppers, Blue Bell Ice Cream (Homemade Vanilla, Please) and Cabbage Patch Dolls, but above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren as they were growing up. She and Wendell were famous with their family for their holiday dressing, so many happy holidays were spent in their home.
Margie will also join her daughter-in-law, Judy Stafford; brother, Phillip; the Herring babies and many other loved, family members and friends; also her beloved Peanut and the rest of the gang will run to greet her from the Rainbow Bridge: Bol Bol!
She is survived by her son, Larry Stafford; daughter, Claudia Stafford Lynn; grandchildren, Jeff Stafford and wife, Kelli, Christian Lynn and wife, Sami, Candice Lynn, Brandy Lynn Fonville and husband, Jay, Melanie Garcia and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Chandler Stafford, Enrique and Dalila Lynn, William Garcia; former son-in-law, Jim Lynn; her fur baby, Sammy Joe; plus a large extended family at Wesley Woods Healthcare Center.
