Margie Fasshauer, 84, of Robinson, went home to be with her Lord, at home, surrounded by her loved ones, Tuesday, March 6, 2018. After several years of being bed-bound, she is finally strolling across Heaven. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Johnny Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery, 620 E. Stegall, Robinson, TX. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at the funeral home.
Margie was born June 30, 1933, in Falls County, Texas, to Robert and Ida Lee Elder. She married the love of her life, Howard J. Fasshauer, on July 25, 1953. Together they had three children. Margie had a passion for sewing; she worked at Powers Embroidery for 17 years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally. She raised her granddaughter, Wendy, as her own. In her later years, she enjoyed watching the Lady Bears. She had an amazing sense of humor and a quick wit.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband Howard Fasshauer; son Howard “Butch” Fasshauer; brother, Robert “Buddy” Elder; and beloved daughter-in-law, Peggy Fasshauer.
Margie is survived by her daughters, Wendy Dillard and husband Dale; Debbie Kunze and Judy Trevino and their spouses; sister, Dora Conaway; grandchildren, Amber, James, Jason, and Beth; special family friends, whom she loved dearly, Shirley and Johnny Brown, and Betty Ruth Phillips; numerous great-grandchildren; along with one niece and two nephews.
The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Hospice for the wonderful and loving care given to Margie.
