Margarita Diaz

Margarita D Diaz, 65, of McGregor, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in McGregor. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, with Rev. Robert Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Eddy Cemetery. A Rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, recited by Rosie L Diaz-Escobedo.
Mrs. Diaz was born on September 22, 1950 in Falls County to Manuel and Manuela DeLeon. She married Jimmy R Diaz Sr. on November 25, 1967 in McGregor and they celebrated over 46 wonderful years together. Mrs. Diaz loved cutting hair, crocheting, shopping with her sister, taking trips with her brother and sister, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her one true love, Jimmy Diaz Sr., her parents, brother and in-laws.
Survivors include her sons Jimmy Diaz Jr., Michael Paul Diaz and his wife Shea; daughter Monica Diaz Thomas and her husband Steve; 13 grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; one sister; five brothers; and several very special people in her life; Florence Wagner, Mike DeLeon and most of all Gladys Gonzales.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Thomas Jr, Robert Thomas IV, Zachary Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Dustin Diaz, Brian Diaz, Damian Diaz, and Jeremy Diaz. Honorary Pallbearer is Rene Perez.
