Margaret Cureton, age 76, loving mother of three, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Baylor Scott and White with her family by her side. There will be a memorial visitation from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
Margaret was born August 29, 1946 to D.L. and Junita Pecina in Marlin, Texas. Before dementia interrupted her way of living, she enjoyed antiquing. She loved going to the Flea Market and garage sales on the weekends. Margaret had five loving cats that she enjoyed caring for and they loved entertaining her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, D.L. and Juanita Pecina; and father of her children, Nick D. Thompson.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Darlene Garcia and husband Andrew, Diane Pistole and fiancé William Cook, Dana Thompson; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Gamble; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Margaret’s caretakers, Penny Foster and Stephanie Silvas. They would also like to thank the Baylor Scott and White ICU team that cared for Margaret, especially Chris, Heather, and Alexis.
